In 1992, Klaus Ludwig became DTM Champion in a Mercedes-AMG 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II. Furthermore, Ellen Lohr was the first woman who ever won a DTM race. She competed in Youngtimer Trophy in an Evo II.
